The good news about low carb gorgeous food is that your taste buds go wild after they stop being constantly exposed to starchy carbs/added sugar. Everything starts to taste amazing.
To make vegetables and salads delicious to eat make liberal use of herbs and spices, ground black pepper, chilli and very ripe lemons/oranges.
To make breakfasts & lunches look & taste special add fresh basil leaves, olives, celery & tomatoes.
To make casserole dishes & baked vegetables taste amazing use cinnamon, nutmeg, chilli, turmeric, paprika, sage & basil.
Basil – ‘The King of Herbs’ is lovely smelling & can be bought fresh in pots from the supermarket & lasts for ages growing on the windowsill.
Cinnamon – ‘The Queen of Spices’ is reputed to have anti-inflammatory properties & smells amazing. I sprinkle it on salads & use it in some dishes.
Rosemary – fresh gives an incredible flavour to meat dishes such as lamb, or to fish.
I’m sure there are wonderful possibilities for low carb gorgeous Indian food. However I am going to seek advice from one of several Indian friends who are keen cooks before I go there 🙂
